Project Manager | Geologist | 20+ Years of Industry Expertise

• Mr. Sandberg has over 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting, oil & gas, and utility industries. During his career, he served in many roles including environmental contractor, field geologist, health & safety liaison, construction manager, and project manager. His specific project experience includes environmental investigation/remediation, environmental due diligence, oil & gas well plugging & abandonment, facilities decommissioning, and gas transmission/pressure regulation rebuilds and upgrades. 

• Mr. Sandberg’s most recent experience specializes in the project management of oil and gas well plugging and abandonment, and facilities decommissioning projects, in the Appalachian Basin for private operators, contractors, and consultants. These projects entailed the aspects of planning, permitting, cost estimating/tracking, procurement, contract management, construction management, landowner interface, health & safety, regulatory interface, and project closeout. 

• Additional experience includes environmental and waste management support in the oil and gas industry as well as traditional environmental site assessments, investigation, and remediation. He has also supported environmental due diligence of mergers and acquisitions for oil and gas operators in the Appalachian Basin. 

Education

• Mr. Sandberg began his college education by completing 3 years of electrical engineering curriculum between the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz and Binghamton.   Shortly after transferring to Binghamton University, his interests shifted to the earth sciences, and he completed a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences in 2004.  

• As an active member of the Central New York Association of Professional Geologists (CNYAPG) and the New York State Council of Professional Geologists (NYSCPG) he stays engaged with advancements in the field and maintains a strong professional network.
